Anyone here is a fan of BAST? I know that there are people who find some of his artworks ugly. I was initially not a fan of his stuff. But recently after reading about BAST in some other forums and buying one of his prints, I have started to appreciate his artworks more. Currently I have 2 of his prints and am waiting for a third 1/1 print to arrive in 3 weeks time ;D (stock photos as I have yet to remove mine from the tubes pending going to the framer) Thug  - Cheap but I like the image. Don't think I will frame it though. Cash Bazaar  - the different layerings on this piece is amazing. I really love all the minor details. And a sneak preview of the "Chinese New Year" Und Erotik that is on the way. It is supposed to be red screen on gold but it looks silvery in the sneak photo  How the original Und Erotik looks like  |

Interesting stuff, dont think it really matters if other people think its ugly as long as you like it.

Have a few of his pieces. Big fan of a lot of his work, and others make me cringe of his. 50/50 I got the normal edition Mickey from Santa's Ghetto  The other I have is a Marilyn 2X. Unbelievably I can't find any pics of mine. Wish I can get my hands on a Mickey that is as colourful as yours, mate. The Marilyn is sweet too. Highbrow, I agreed with you. Unfortunately one of the haters of BAST artwork is my wife  And that is why I'm dragging my feet in framing my BAST print. I am currently checking around for a BAST Paris print or a dirty colourful logoface. I have seen a nice logoface offered at 1550gbp which is too expensive imo. I do not understand why BAST prints are going for such a high price in the secondary market, especially since he is not involved in the auction inflation scene. The logoface below is 1000gbp and I am very tempted to jump on it...  |

I love those wood originals from the Brooklynite show. Every piece to me is beautiful. Unfortunately I do not have US$9500 to drop for one at the moment and there was no online sales anyway. I read that all the wood original pieces were sold.
The pic you showed above with the pipe is my favourite piece. BAST is becoming my favourite artist.

didn't see prices. they were between shows and in the middle of taking down d face and putting up the new group show. it was pretty chaotic, but they were cool enough to let me take a peek. these were next to the entrance door, propped against the desk. no prices next to them - and i didn't ask.

Yeah, they're not small! I have one and it's pretty impressive. Had he created a smaller edition, they would have easily been considered originals and gone for higher prices.

Grabbed both Old Spice and Pizzoli prints. Wish I have the dough to pick up a OG (I like Pizzoli Orange).

I think I might have overdone it in terms of Bast print purchases. Just bought myself Pizzoli, Old Spice and Popeye prints all within the week. And I do not even have the walls for them :-P
