It turns out a dinner party that soap opera star Joan Collins hosted for the elusive artist BANKSY was all an elaborate hoax. Ivan Massow, the former chairman of London’s Institute of Contemporary Art, tricked Collins, his longtime friend, into hosting a feast for a group of celebrities and actor Bryan Lawrence, who was pretending to be the secretive street artist. According to the Daily Mail, Massow hoped to sell the fake footage of Banksy to unknowing television producers. However, a bit of investigation by the newspaper unraveled that, forcing Massow to confess his failure and wistfully remark: “To pull off what was such a massive art fraud would have been really quite spectacular.”

rumor has it there may be a "secret" show popping up sometime soon....
I believe it has been awhile since there was a fresh body of new work. I am far from extremely knowledgeable about Banksy, but I would like to see what his actual gallery prices are, should be interesting.

yeah. heard this last week. pretty exciting.
if the original date of the 12th june i heard is right, then i will be travelling through bristol on that day anyway, and dragging the family along. if the other date i've recently read about on other forums - 13th june is right, then i'm back at home 4.5 hours drive away....

 Piece from the "Whole in the Wall" show that turned out to be a secondary market piece. Kinda disappointed that there weren't new pieces. Perhaps I would have liked the show more if I recognized some of the artists. Hoping rumors of the UK show in June are true. |

i think it's a pretty uninspiring image in itself as a stand alone... .that said, i've registered my details and guess i have a few days to make up my mind if i get a chance.
good on pow for trying this way out though i think. i hope they have some kind of flipper sniffing ip detection device though, because obviously some douches will be registering about fifty eight million different email addresses to try and turn a quick one on it.
