probably to prevent people from flipping? What do you mean? That flippers would be more likely to buy the unframed over the framed? I wasn't really asking WHY they were only selling them framed, I just thought I'd read somewhere that they were available either framed or unframed from the gallery. Just wanted confirmation that this was not the case and that it was not possible to buy one unframed at the moment. More along the lines that given the higher pricepoint for the framed ones, the secondary prices aren't much higher. Anyone that has sold on the secondary market know this.

The three that have sold for over $1000 on ebay in the last week seem to counter this statement? www.expressobeans.com/public/detail.php/102642

$499!? Come on, that's ridiculous. Doesn't seem to be made out of any precious metals/materials.

These look incredible, love the detail. Great wearable artwork. The brooch s from the show will be available soon so do not purchase on Ebay. Info Below From Miss Kawasaki's Blog.just wanted to post a little notice. i just saw this ebay sale, featuring the brooches that will be publicly released soon; we brought just a few of them to the Space Yui gallery. this ebay sale is unfortunately wrong, because the seller states that this is a 'limited sold out' item, and is asking for $499 (!?) but in truth, this brooch is NOT a limited edition at all, and NOT sold-out, the point of the upcoming brooch sale is to have something smaller and unlimited, for everyone. it will be for sale for $35. will be released publicly very soon! just a heads up! Thanks!
