Incredible. If this is any indication of the rest of the work, I can't wait...despite a complete understanding that everything will be well out of my range.

Interesting concept for a website. Anonymous posting of previews by someone who is on preview lists I presume?

Yeah, I'll forward you the email hung. It was from the guy/girl who runs the site and they asked for a link from redstarpress.com.

You can check the Laz inc. site, they have some of his work for sale but I find their prices to be on the high end, still it might give you an idea.

Now that I think about it the show you are anticipating is gonna be put on by Laz so the prices on his site are probably pretty accurate.

is this showing currently at warrington? part of a larger show?

It's currently on show at Warrington Museum alongside 9 or 10 other contemporary works. Local cuts have meant that the Museum have less funds for larger contemporary exhibitions so they are using a smaller part of the gallery in order to show a few pieces of that nature with a 3 month (ish) turnaround. I'll post pics of a few of the other works later.

thanks for that. look forward to seeing what else is on show.
always nice to see artists such as this exhibited outside of london, especially in the north.
i travelled over to warrington to see the elbowtoe exhibition earlier this year. the exhibition space is somewhat small and corridor-like, but still it's good to see contemporary work such as this in a public institution.

That triptych was sold at the Impure Idols show in LA in 2007 so I guess it's been borrowed from a private collection. It was £45,000+VAT at the time. I remember trying to persuade Holly to sell me just one section for a third of the price but she was having none of it. I reckon I got off lightly.

Yeah 2007 was definitely a strange year! I was in LA for the Micallef exhibition/bunfight. Holly was surrounded by people desperate to part with huge amounts of money . I woke up the next day with a stinking hangover and a rather scary invoice strewn on the hotel bedroom floor. Looking back it seems incredible, but who knew the bubble would burst so dramatically? I think the work on show was amazing (especially upstairs) and i still think he's the best out there.
