His long portraits are really worth checking out. I posed for one. He fixes the camera's insect eye on you and you stare into it for 5 minutes unmoving. It's profoundly disconcerting, and you can't keep up your "photo face."
I think the final result is almost like a still photo that, due to the conventions of video, you look at far longer and deeper than you would normally look at a photo.
