I agree. While the themes don't seem to have changed much (Andy wrote that this was his first show where the pieces were focused on night time as opposed to dusk), the richness of the backgrounds is noticeably different and appreciated. I have wanted one of his pieces for a while now, and decided to buy one of the smaller paintings, Affinity to Unfamiliar Worlds. While I'm normally drawn to art that has less of an explosion of detail and color, this one really spoke to me.
New piece for his upcoming Thinkspace LA show, Together in the Maelstrom, which is a follow up to Together at the Threshold (see above), and which I like to see in a direct heritage with All Turns to Brilliance (see last page) and Our Wondrous Journey (above as well). Love them all a lot!
