After seeing the original version at The Modern Fort Worth today with my daughter, must say it would be awesome to have a 'small' bronze. Wish I would have had 100k and an inside contact.

Some seriously strong results at the latest phillips Spongebob PP $45K Companion Canvas $72K Especially for what I hear were works with some condition issues. I have not seen a condition report on either work, wasn't interested, but was told there was damage to the blister of the PP and some paint loss on the companion. |

Regarding the condition of the PP: "This work is comprised of acrylic on canvas, printed cardboard, and plastic packaging, in a Plexiglas box. There are faint hairline scratches on the Plexiglas box, mostly visible under raking light. There is slight rubbingon the upper left and lower right corners of the canvas, where it comes into contact with the plastic box. There is a small crease on the upper right corner of the cardboard packaging." |

That condition report wasn't accurate. I saw it in person. The bottom base of the plastic blister packaging was cracked.
Also the canvas had about a 3 inch crack in the paint. Looks like it was pressed by something in the back, so white was bleeding from it.

I hope the buyer saw it before the auction and just didn't care, but, more likely, someone is in for an unpleasant surprise. |
