I assume if they're releasing that t-shirt, these Passing Through Companions will be the final releases from Original Fake... unless they slip in a last minute Black Astroboy !?

Does this seem like a quick turnaround for the painting to anyone else? For some reason I assume paintings from shows where the artist is "hot" and the galleries are well-established they are carefully choosing buyers from their established client base and pieces will not see the light of day for at least five years. Or maybe it's intentional and galleries sell to established clients knowing they are doing their clients a favor. Of course it could be just some random reason the person needs to sell but wouldn't the buyer go back to the original gallery if they needed to sell so soon after buying? I always thought a gallery with a hot artist vetted their buyers to protect pieces from going to auction so quickly....maybe that's just a myth?

Actually they seem to be doing a pretty good job as there aren't that many quality pieces that go to auction. I don't think they can complain with what has come out so far.

I went this morning : 27th april 13 : kaws companion incense stand release day @original fake www.jumpjump.biz/2013/04/27th-april-13-kaws-companion-incense.htmlSaturday 27th april 2013, at 9, it was the usual queuing time in front of Original Fake in Aoyama Tokyo for the new Kaws Incense stand. Around 100 people queuing, fortunately, not as much as recent releases. Means everyboday was able to buy it.

god I hate Kaws with a passion, which, on balance is a feeling and really the worst emotion art can have is none

Back from Ohhh! Thursday, 6pm, Kaikai Kiki Galery in Azabu, Tokyo, the last Kaws exhibition started. There were about 15/20 paints, some very big. Many people came to this Kaws new artwork. Nigo and Murakami also came to the galery. we couldn t get any sign from Kaws unfortunately. Nice pieces there. No idea of the price. 2nd may 13 : kaws : ohhh... exhibition @kaikai kiki galery - tokyo www.jumpjump.biz/2013/05/2nd-may-13-kaws-ohhh-exhibition-kaikai.html

Price range is too much, it's $30k to 200k, cheapest piece is the black tondos of 30k. $42-45k for these Black canvas like 23"x35". They won't sell first come first serve basis but each "lucky winner" will be chosen by the judging, doing interview and ask u how u like an art what will u do with a piece. Also u need to sign for a contract to not resell a piece for 5 years. saw many resellers were crying about it
