I just received this fascinating documentary from the UK today: The Great Contemporary Art Bubble. A 60 minute version of the film aired on the BBC back in May 2009. The DVD however is the full 90 minute version. Although it focuses on the highest end of the art market, I'm sure you will notice similarities with the manipulation and hype pervasive in our little insular underground scene If interested, you can purchase the DVD (Region 2) directly from the film's writer and director, British art critic, Ben Lewis. It only costs $25 (includes shipping). He has just a limited number left.
