Man, I like that multi-wolfhead. How come I haven't heard about this guy before? How come it's 2 day? Will the artwork be for sale?

He's honestly very popular and has been in a number of group shows all over the east coast and just did that big windows project that Ad Hoc helped put together. He's just outside the radar of this scene for some reason, but very much so on folks' radar in NYC area. His installs and the stuff he's done as part of Deitch's art parades are just epic.
This show / tour as he's put it to me, is his way of going out and hitting up a bunch of quality spots over the summer to spread his message and get his name out there further. It all ends in Philly at Space1026 with a huge show that will stay up for a proper month I think - later this summer/early fall I think it is. Have to check....
He hit us up right after our 'From The Streets Of Brooklyn' show in which he had a nice piece and asked if we'd be into hosting a weekend only show and we looked at things and squeezed in into our August schedule as I was honored he hit me up.
He'll be at the gallery next week on Wed/Thur/Fri working on some aspects of the show - I'll be sure to let you or Stephen know so you can swing through. He excels in so many mediums and each work incorporates many of them. The wolf piece has elements of collage, hand-carving, painting and some transfer/screenprinting type work as well. They are huge too, and affordable given his history and schooling.
All will be for sale, including low-cost prints as low as $10-$200 upwards of around $1,500 for the larger works. Have many folks very interested and these need to be seen in person if possible.
Our garage is PACKED with crates that just arrived from his show up at Fecal Face along with many add'l works coming from his base in Brooklyn as we've a much larger space than Fecal Face up in SF and really pushed him to go for it. Hopefully some surprises get worked out - we'll see what time permits.
Juxtapoz doing a 'back talk' feature with him soon and I'll be posting a quick interview with him next week too on Sour Harvest. I'm excited to open up these crates!

Fun quick interview with McNett posted over at Juxtapoz today as part of their 'Back Talk' series: www.juxtapoz.com/Features/back-talk-with-dennis-mcnettLA Weekly also called out the event as the thing to do this Saturday in today's issue. NICE. Dennis is in town and working away on what is going to be a very impressive install and has brought SO much work out it's insane. Awesome thing about this show is he has work ranging from $10 for a small unlimited print on up to around $3,000 or so for the bigger gems like the carved wolf (over 4 feet square). Dennis also brought down many of the paper mache monster heads that were apart of the big Deitch Art Parade last year and we'll have various freaks running about with those on and a small selection of masks on hand for patrons to try on and get their photos taken wearing and all. Only 2 days - so don't miss this one. We hope to have some of the choice pieces up online tomorrow for those of you that are curious from out of state.

This thing is heating up - VANS and many more he's helped are spreading the word big time on their sites and tweeting like crazy as is the one and only Dante Ross. He's been talking this up BIG time on his blog.
The place is looking insane. If for no other reason then to come out and rock one of his badass masks - this is gonna be a fun one!
