Just a heads up. This photo by Ryan is a complete and utter bargain - at the moment anyway. The guide price of $2000-3000 is way way way underpriced. I don't know how they came up with that. Original retail was I think about 4k and in the aftermarket back then they traded from 6-10k. www.artsy.net/artwork/ryan-mcginley-tim-fallingThis is imo one of his best images ever, and is one of the most well known. It was seen in the Beautiful Losers exhibition and is illustrated on the cover of the Book. Only 6 of this image ever printed in any size as far as I know, all of them roughly 30x40 inches. There was a moment when his star was really rising that this might have done $15-20k but his market has cooled a little and a current estimate at a good auction house right now ... anywhere from 8-12k. |
