Spreading oneself too thin will invariably lead to less than impressive results. I'm not fond of any of his super recent stuff either. My understanding for the heavy press of new work is due to him being a father very soon. I've been told he plans to be relatively inactive for awhile once this happens. In fact he already canceled a couple of shows he originally planned for the fall. |

RM has a few solo shows coming up soon... Pace Primitive is going to be releasing a print edition of 50 at the opening. $5k with proceeds benefiting Africa Art. I heard there's some new work based on the Pace Primitive African art collection... www.paceprimitive.com |

Did anyone go to the new show at Bridgette Mayer gallery in PA? Would love to see photos of the new paintings. I've always found his paintings where he layers icons to be genius and beautiful to look at--so much detail so take in they are overwhelming.

Have always loved Ryan's densely layered paintings. His show at Deitch Projects back in 2009 was amazing.
