Can't believe there's not a thread for him yet. Anyway, not a huge fan personally, though I think he's one of the most important of the artists working today. Some of his images are fantastic. Okay now the point of the thread. Who's going to Subliminal Projects in LA this Saturday to pick me up the Lotus prints that are being released? LA Residents only!

How would one pick this piece up? has it already been released? Not a big fan but really like this image, if I had one Fairey this would be the piece.

You would go here obeygiant.com/store/home.php?cat=1on the release date and watch and wait until the site crashes. Then go back on the new release date and struggle through the check out system. The easy way is to go to ebay the day they get shipped and buy one there. I know this sounds sarcastic but it's true. Fairey has a huge following both fans and print flippers. Go check ebay right now, there are at least 20 "Duality of Humanity 1" prints for sale.

It was up than down but here is the jest of it. obey x al rockoff
Shepard was recently presented with the opportunity to illustrate some incredible photographs taken by photojournalist Al Rockoff. The images that were drawn to Shepard fit exactly the current times and express same complex emotions many people felt concerning the Vietnam War and feel today with war in Iraq.
Al Rockoff’s photos reveal the brutality, but also the conflicted humanity seen in war. The risks Rockoff took to capture his images were often as great as the risks of the subjects he wished to document. I’m honored to be able to work with Al Rockoff. - Shepard
We will be releasing a series of prints based on Rockoff’s images the first of which is entitled Duality of Humanity 2. This print will released this Saturday, 7/26, at a random time. We will not be announcing the release time.
Al Rockoff is an American photojournalist made famous by his coverage of the Vietnam War and of the Khmer Rouges’ takeover of Phnom Penh, Cambodia’s capital. He was also portrayed in the Academy Award winning film The Killing Fields, although he has never been happy with his portrayal.
Al Rockoff is a close family friend, some years ago when I saw his images for the first time I fell in love with the truth of them. Over the years he has asked me to help in certain aspects of small gallery showing or dealing with a select group of private collectors. As his book nears close he was looking for some exposure in the US area as he is well known for his work overseas. He asked me how we would accomplish this, someone on another board said go to Shepard. We did so and this is the first of some prints that will be released and we will make the photos of each print available in limited numbers as well.
thanks for all the support and we are excited about this.
Side bar with the amount of emails at some point we are going to have to find a real rep. for him how does one go about doing so?
