saL, thanks so much for the heads up! I did not get the mail from Porterhouse until after I had placed my order. Usually they send out a mail in advance, not when the item is actually up for sale. Wonder if this will sell out - the special edition book of The Snow Yak Show is still available, and The Tree Show special edition was around for ages.

Yeah, thanks sal I just got the email. I think the thing that kills it for me is that M.R. has in the past produced a limited book ( Fushigi Circus) then changed the color of the book cover, and re-released it again, which put me off. It's not like a print with a different color variant, it's a book with the same text on the inside. I might buy this book, but I'll probably pass.

Those are great Kdlmaj!
Myself, I will not be buying the above print despite it being one of my favourite Ryden images. I have, in the past, purchased 2 prints only to find that there are outrageous hidden charges on top of the original fee, courtesy of British customs. Just not worth it. Last time I had to pay an additional $140 dollars on top of the $500 once it arrived in Liverpool. There was also a handling fee on top of that. And the original postage fee from America. Rant over.
As I say, it is a beautiful image.

Any tips on getting the print from Ryden's site? I know that sometimes it can get nuts with everyone logging in at once trying to nab a new item. I've only ever bought my Ryden stuff from secondary markets. naivejohn that's terrible. Once upon a time, it still would have been worth it. But now it's hard to say. If this turns into the next Fur Girl, then it's cheaper to just pay the $600-700. If it's the next Pumpkin President, then it's cheaper to wait a bit and get it for $350.

I've only ever bought my Ryden stuff from secondary markets. I know this is a bit late, since the print drops in 5 mins, but just make sure you are logged in before purchasing and have your shipping address already entered in your account. You can even enter your credit card information beforehand. Then you should be good Edit: Page loaded really slow this time, but checking out was no problem after all. The print is still available (and most likely won't sell out within the next half hour - just my guess).

This one appears to have sold out already, in about 5 minutes. Thanks for posting the drop info, I would not have been able to scoop this beauty otherwise! This drop sold out much quicker than Tree of Life if memory serves me.

As I say, it is a beautiful image. I can totally understand this. Those $500 prints posters cost me more than €500 with shipping and 20% import tax. On top of that, Austrian customs never proceeds the items through customs without sending me a lovely letter first (registered mail!) asking me to provide payment receipts, e-mail correspondence whatever, just to prove that I actually paid the amount stated. We have been playing this game for the past 8 or 9 years with every single piece of artwork I purchase from the US. At least originals are just 10% import tax.

This drop sold out much quicker than Tree of Life if memory serves me. Wow, that was really fast. All recent releases were available from anywhere of 20 minutes to an hour (Fur Girl was available for at least a couple of hours). Great if I could help - I just wished I had seen that question earlier.
