i think rhino's point was that this has all been discussed, ad nauseum, on her blog, and elsewhere, and it just seems argumentative and a bit unproductive. both leah and audrey have stated in no uncertain terms what their policy is and, while not everyone is pleased, it seems to be working. yes, perhaps for those who are interested, you can start a thread in the "economics/business of art" part of the forum on flipping/secondary market or whatever you want to call it.

now now. don't want a fight to break out although it might be fun since it would be the first one here on this forum ;D although it's okay to deviate a little every now and then, i think this thread is primarily dedicated to audrey's artwork. No worries! LOL I just wanted to make my case to Audrey's manager. Trust me, I've moved on. I'm just still a bit confused about wanting to get a print into all of her fans hands, yet it's been made clear that market dilution and carpel tunnel syndrome overrides the need for a larger print run. . Anyway, I'm cool and will move on. I have a couple Audrey prints already. It's selfish to want more, right? There are bigger concerns in this world than Audrey's 50 second print sales.

it gives me a giggle when you assure us that you've moved on and yet restate your entire argument all over again and if no one else cares, i care about aud's carpal tunnel

It hurts that we won't be able to see these in person. I hope there will some other pics soon of this show. I'm sure Audrey will post some when she gets back from her vacation. That painting looks bigger that I thought it would be!

Got mine today. It's stunning. I guess I'll be the first to post (admittedly bad) pics

Oh the packaging as someone said earlier was TOP NOTCH. Almost too top notch for my feeble brain. It took me about 4 hours and 41 minutes to get the print in view.

LOL.
Not regularly. I have on occasion gone to Costco with friends who have cards there, and I'm liable to buy lots of random things, so it's possible!

Brilliant!!! It looks absolutely brilliant! I was thinking about it the other day, if I had not picked this up, then I would have picked up Simkin's "It Wanders". But, I'm sure glad I picked this.

I think it's my favorite Audrey print to date to be honest. It's up there with Oiran to me.

I know I got one of these prints but have yet to receive it.
Ritedere-- Did it arrive via USPS? Was there a signature required? I just want to know what to expect, as I had this shipped to a relative's house, because I'm in the process of moving. It really does look gorgeous, I'm so glad I was able to get one!

still not received Don't fret. I paid a while back and still have yet to receive anything. I contacted them over the weekend and they said it would go out via express mail Monday (which it did and I got a tracking number) and I should have it before the week ends. Have you contacted them recently? It seems people have had mixed reviews, but they've been quite responsive to all of my email inquiries.

I received mine yesterday via UPS, not USPS.... perhaps my print was more special than the others to receive such deluxe shipping treatment, LOL.
I have to say the packing was SUPER...it took me a good amount of time to open it up, they must have used an entire roll of tape packing it up.... but wow, was I IMPRESSED when I opened it! I knew the dimensions of it beforehand, but still, I was just really blown away and so glad I was able to get one of these before the mad rush on her website, whenever she sells the remaining prints.
I'm still not sure how I'll frame this. I'm thinking an ornate black frame, and maybe I can frame my two Stella prints in similar black frames, as the coloring of this print really doesn't coordinate with any of my other Audrey prints... not that I'm complaining. I love the new direction she's taking, Audrey never disappoints!
If anyone else frames this before I do (it'll be a while before I do, I'm moving cross country soon, framing=not a priority), be sure to post pics! I'd love to see how these look "completed", so Masao, be sure to post a pic when you frame yours (you have such a great eye for frames!). ;D
