I just wanted to post a heads up that Chris Berens will be opening his latest show at Roq la Rue on October 22nd. His new series is a return to more nature oriented landscapes (vs the city scapes of his NY show last year). Plesae contact me if you would like to be on his waiting list at kirsten@roqlarue.com.

for his last NY show the smallest pieces were in the 2-4k range (those were the only ones I bothered inquiring about because I knew I had no hope of affording anything larger)

As of his last show, a 20x20 was in the $10K range and a 30x30 clocked in around $15K. The most expensive pieces were around $30K. However, his pricing is somewhat dependent on exchange rates, I believe.

However, his pricing is somewhat dependent on exchange rates, I believe. Everything is priced in Euros so last December was pretty much an all time high for the Euro/dollar exchange rate, but it's not significantly better right now... though that doesn't really mean anything since they can choose to price however they want. As far as the top end, the largest piece at his NYC show, At the Zoo was around 2.5' x 4' and was actually closer to $20k if memory serves.

Just saw the Hi Fructose sneak peek of the Roq la Rue show, looks amazing. Hoping there might be a print to go along with the show...

I really like his newest pieces. The soft focus effect is really pretty stunning. Love to understand more about how he creates this look which seems to keep getting more refined.

I just realized that Chris doesnt have his own thread yet, so Im more than happy to start one by showing his last 3 paintings that Jaski gallery had @ PAN fair in Amsterdam last ekend: Just when you think his work cant get more detailed, and more amazing, he does it again.. I love the colors and the composition of these!
