There is actually a Dark Pop show thread here. But yes, I think that that drawing is probably for the painting since they look almost the same.

A few months before I moved back to California, I started to really get into a new artist I found. I couldn't help but scour his blog and the internet to find any morsel of his work or history. His work spoke to me on a very personal level and I felt like we were on the same page in some sense. About 9-10 months go by and I find myself back in California and a job that is allowing me produce, direct, edit my own web tv show. I had an idea for a while and went with it, thus "Analog Color" is born. After shooting of my first episode at Giant Robot 2 for the Kozyndan install, I was walking out the door and I spotted this guy whom I thought may be someone I wanted to shoot an episode of the show on. So never having meet the guy in my life and going off a picture I had seen on the internet I walk up to him and ask,"Hey, are you Tessar Lo?" Fast Forward another 10 months and I couldn't be more blessed to have meet such a great person I now consider a great friend. With talent like his you assume pride and yet are met with complete humility. For such a young guy he is full of knowledge not only on art but life. In turn, my personal art has taken a different route(for the better) and I thank him for that. If you have not yet meet the man behind the paintings, I can only hope you will be as pleasantly surprised as I was. On another note. As of lately I have been blessed with owning a few Tessar Lo originals, one being a portrait of me and my family. Hope you enjoy them as much as me and my family are. PS Very soon I will be posting a commercial for his show at Roq La Rue including commentary by Tessar about his new body of work. As far as his art goes, this body of work is by far my favorite. Cheers, J And if you haven't seen the two part episode of analog color I made on Tessar, here ya go:

Should be nice and rainy when you guys arrive- nothing like some invigorating Seattle weather. That's why we all (really do) have coffee attached to our hand at all times. Wards off the damp.
