I admire Linnea's work - the detail is astonishing. For some - yeah it looks just like a photo - but that isn't quite the point. For me - it's the questions of how and how well.
In this case, imo, art as opposed to craft.
If she can do this with water.. hopefully she is not going to be led into the (false) temptation of surrealism - that'd be a waste.

It's insane how quickly most of these artists can get a piece of work done. I guess it's like other jobs where, when you're good at what you do, you can churn something out rather quickly. But still...it's amazing to learn some of these pieces are done within a matter of days.

Linnea's contribution for upcoming Thinkspace 5th Anniversary Show. I really like the connection between the back up the arm and to the hand on the hair. And as always the water is amazing. from her flickr "Zero (when I'm alone I cease to exist)" 52 x 55 cm Oil on board
