doh! i sent them an email before i read carefully on the page. i was hoping for some strange reason they had me on the list from last show and i squeezed in: "Note that the Josh Keyes paintings are no longer available." did they same thing lol. why did they email me then? when i'm only on their list for keyes...false hope.

I'm pretty sure they just email the whole list for all shows. I also contacted Dave days ago thinking I'd magically swipe it

Total false hope. I emailed as well without reading the fine print. I had such a sudden rush of excitement that lasted about a minute and a half...

Amazing stuff, and just saw a full page of his work featured in Complex mag. so who knows what that means but I will get something form him even a print and it will not be for 7 times retail on it either. Some artists make me want to give up on obtaining something and then some really come through for you on a personal level.

Josh put up a progress report on his forum the other day:
---
Hi,
Well I am almost done, I have four more paintings to finish and then I will post images of everything. I should be done in about seven days.
Stay tuned!
Best,
Josh

Want some Josh Keyes to frame up that's cheaper than his prints...? How about vinyl? Saw this posted over on the Josh Keyes forum by youngsquire. Pretty cool. $13 shipped.

Been trying since 9 AM. I've gotten to the cart screen once, but then couldn't get beyond that. Frustrating! They need a new way to do this. And now, of course, the "Add to Cart" button is gone. DOH! Cheers, Teddy Popdrawer The Modern Art Blog www.PopDrawer.com

I got to the cart screen at about Noon. My cart had the print, but now it's gone. DAMN!
Any idea if they will tell us when it's sold out and we can stop trying??

"We’d like to update all of you on the status of Josh Keyes’ print release, “Thunder”. The extraordinary demand for this edition has swamped our website, we received millions of hits.
The remaining available prints will be sold via an email lottery. Each email received within our specified time period will be chronologically numbered. We will then have Josh Keyes randomly select numbers within that total email count, to correspond with the remaining number of prints that are for sale."
Upside, no more wasted time and sleep for us. Downside, it's even harder now to score one.

I'm all for it. Some of the people want this print only to flip it to make some fast cash (that a whole new debate). Many of the flippers are ruthless have high speed internet and open dozens of windows on their computer, reloading over and over. I'm at home with DSL and never have chance to get a print I want to keep. I'm not to excited about this print but I'll send in an email for the lottery anyway (thrill of the hunt). If I get one I'll let go to someone I know who will keep it.
