Hey everyone, Here is an update on the upcoming show at the Joseph Gross Gallery in AZ. The show runs from May 21- August 30th. The official reception is on August 30th. It corresponds with the beginning of the UA's Fall classes. web.cfa.arizona.edu/galleries/The show will consist of both new and older work. I selected a number of key pieces that I think showcase my style and vision as a painter. The space is used by the students and faculty as a teaching gallery, and I hope to bring them a show that will both inspire and challenge them. For those of you interested in updates on the show, please visit the gallery website and please join my mailing list. www.joshkeyes.net/mailinglist.htmAn added bonus will be an Tiny showcase release in May, and I also plan on releasing a new limited edition print this summer. The limited edition print will be available on my website, the print will not be available at the Joseph Gross Gallery. Please join the Tiny Showcase mailing list for details on the print I will be releasing with them. www.tinyshowcase.com/For news on the limited edition print release, and future print releases, please join my mailing list. www.joshkeyes.net/mailinglist.htmThank you for the comments and interest in my work! Cheers, Josh

Great to hear Josh. Will the older works at the show be paintings, drawings, prints, or all of the above? I'm hoping to make it to the closing on the 30th to check it out.

Is it possible that Mr. Keyes is a Ron Paul fan?
The Revolution with Love inside it is a Ron Paul brand.
Pretty cool.

Love this new body of work. Will try to make it to the opening reception as well... If a number of Artchival memebers are making this road trip we should meet up and have a few beers after the show. Since we will be in a college town, I think this is the proper thing to do.

Josh who did the painting in the middle image on the RHS? Harveyn, Rhythmgtr5 is right about that, I also do abstract and mixed media work, you can see a few examples on the sketchbook page of my website. www.joshkeyes.net/sketchbook.htmThis was inspired by my move to Oregon. I wanted to convey a feeling of being deep in the woods, and seeing a passage through. I tend to do one or two a year, they are a sort of mandala, marking certain times in the year/life. They convey the same feeling for me as the other work I do, its just in a different form. Same wine different bottle.

Thanks Josh. I love this piece and would love to see others. I am guessing the waiting list for these is equally as long.

Harveyn, These have never been featured at a show or exhibit, and I have never sold one, as far as I know there is no waiting list for these. I can put you at the top. Would you like me to contact you if I have any others available? I am glad you like them, I tend to use them as a meditation piece.

I have received quite a few inquiries regarding the abstract paintings, or portals, as I tend to think of them. These are hexagonal acrylic paintings, and measure 42" top to bottom, and 48" wide, point to point.
The themes I work with are fire, water, air, and specific influences drawn from personal experience. A walk in the forest along the Columbia River Gorge was the inspiration for this painting. For those interested, please send me an email and include "Portal" in the subject heading. This goes for those of you who sent me a PM, I don't want to loose track of anyone who might be interested.

I will begin compiling a list. You will be notified of available new work during the online show next year. I hope you can be patient.
Thank you for your interest in my work.
