Guess those watercolors are for the Whammy! show ( showthread) in SF coming up. Here are a couple more. There's more on his blog.

Man, I need that last watercolor, I love the particular hues and how delicate it is. Now why has Mr Soto not released a 'ball' series in vinyl as yet??

i find all these Soto watercolors interesting. They revisit his street and gallery roots with the "Soto fish", but they are also not as involved as some of the recent panels and works he has done for RAM and Stolen Space, which unfortunately went unsold. I wonder if he does not want to exert a lot more effort on new pieces until the others sell, or if he just wants to do these as an experimental and new style.
Either way. Jeff is a great artist and these little watercolors sort of spin off of his bread and butter......and hopefully they are well received.

j, i think it looks as though jeff had a lot of fun with these watercolour pieces. i guess he had a lot of pressure over the last year with shows like the RAM show, and then stolenspace. maybe these were a way to kick back when the pressure was off. i like what he did. i think also that maybe stolenspace rounded his prices 'up' when pricing the show in london shall we say... of the pieces that didn't sell at the london show, i think they were all large big ticket items...

I have been working on several top secret projects with Bigshot Toyworks the past couple months and this is the first of the large vinyl toys we have in the works. I'm super excited about my jump back into toys and Klim and Scott at Bigshot have been awesome.
We will have something to see at Comicon, come see us at booth #4833 for more info. i need to find a way of getting one of these fo sho!

Def pretty cool. Sorta looks like a bringing together of elements from two of his RAM pieces, one of them - Antarctica - being my fav from that show.

I wonder if the figure will be hairy or will it just be painted in.

Looks like Jeff is starting a large piece. Maybe for his show at the JANM? ( show thread).
