Been asked this several times. The easiest way to explain is that you have to upload the picture first with a service like www.photobucket.com. After uploading it, copy the code of the image and post it doing what the picture shows. Stole this pic from the Josh Keyes forum.

Just a extra tip. Make sure the code copy from photobucket is the "Direct Link" code and not the "Email & IM" code.

Just a note for those of you used to using the buttons. For some reason they don't work sometimes so you have to manually enter some of the HTML code. For example [/img] for pics and for youtube videos.

Hi Sleepboy,
I followed your instructions, but nothing happens when I click on the icon. So, I typed the code myself, but that didn't work either.
Thanks

i modified your post for you, and it's working fine now. the fact that the button doesn't work is a real pain in the butt!
you did everything right 'cept you had spaces at the front and end of the image url.
welcome, by the way.

have just had someone asking about posting multiple pics in one post.... you can click the image button as many times as you require and insert as many pics as you require.
also, just to say that you don't need to source an image from photobucket. it can be any jpg source code...

A tip: imgur.com is great for uploading and linking to photos. Faster than photobucket in my experience

I mentioned this elsewhere but we have exceeded the attachment limits (i think added in the recent forum upgrade) so they aren't possible anymore to display pics. You will have to use a photo hosting site as outlined in the instructions above to share images.

After posting some pics via imgur, I wonder if the size could be a problem for viewing. Do I have to downsize the pics, and how does this work? Sometimes I'm in the last century in matters of technics.
Thank you!
P.S.
I have now found a resize program that's working.

I don't use imgur so not sure how to answer your question although I haven't seen any unacceptable image sizes recently.

Sorry, having an issue with my image on the thread I just started, the url looks correct, not sure why it is not working, if you have a second, can you check on it for me. Much appreciated, Bryan

Much appreciated, Bryan Looks like you are sourcing your own website. You need to upload it onto some image hosting website like photobucket, imageshack, etc…

Is there a way to upload albums from Flickr? Not sure what you mean? I think you have to pay to separate your photos into albums...

I meant is there an easier to upload entire flickr albums into archival versus uploading one by one. You mean getting a group of URL's to paste into Archival showing a set of images? I don't use flickr much anymore so not sure but I do use photobucket, I can upload a set of images and get all the code at once, then paste it all together onto forums.
