The etchings from 2008 are still available from Paulson for $3k. I have Half times a Half times a Half and it has quickly become one of the most commented pieces in my collection.

Ha, just not going to ever quite see eye to eye, of all things, 10k for a Tauba print is something I would be very highly cautious of. More so than 85k for a binary painting. And who is still "Speculating" on Tauba at the moment? Clearly the time has passed to be a "speculator." But fine as a long term investment if you will appreciate the work in the meantime. Jersey: got a pic of your etching? Dollar: You're right, we may not see eye to eye on this issue. Just because Tauba took a big step out of most of this board's price range doesn't mean that it's too expensive for people to speculate. There's a high roller world where there's another level of financial of speculation. Why do you think there are crashes in stock and real estate market. People often speculate hundreds of thousands to millions depending on their risk appetite & greed. I'm not knocking anyone's hustle. I was at the ADAA art fair during the first day and people were stepping over themselves to spend their money. Look at this beautiful Roy Liechtenstein color pencil on paper 5x5 in. My initial guess was 150-300k. I got the courage to ask for the price... 1.4 million dollars. Clearly they were fishing for whales. My point is there are sharks and chumps on every financial level. Hopefully you just spot who the sharks and chumps the first half hour you sit down at the table

You two crack me up... Solar you didn't over pay for your Roy. 19.95 is perfect for the unsigned poster! Epic, may I borrow yours to scan so I can print it and put it my wall next to my Tauba static?

just noticed that ny moma is using Tauba's work as the promotional image for the show (at least on the web): www.moma.org/visit/calendar/exhibitions/1231hre: Tauba lists galleries (http://www.taubaauerbach.com/galleries.html) and editions (http://www.taubaauerbach.com/editions.html) on her website

Still hitting myself for not buying one of the Printed Matter Fold editions... does anyone know how long they were available before selling out? I also really like Plate Distortion I from Paulson Press, does anyone know what the current pricing is?

those printed matter editions were available for almost a year before the prices went up from $150.
I bought some from the NY artbook fair in 2009 and i dont think they sold many that weekend.

parklife2 Thanks for the info, were they always $150 from the site until they were gone? I read some earlier posts that Printed Matter upped the price as the edition sold? Why didn't I buy one???!!! Ugh! I keep seeing them posted for sale for ridiculous prices $5,000+ Eek! I'm thinking the Paulson prints are now way over my budget.

the fold edition sold out at a little over 1000 i believe. The paulson editions are up to 5500-6000. I think static etchings are still 3000 though.

ricosg11 Thanks for the info - yeah I figured the Paulson editions were pricey - any idea what the Plate Distortions started at? I wish I liked the static series a little more, definitely more affordable. Hmmmmm.

I just sent Paulson Press an email to find out about current pricing on all available editions. If they get back to me, I will post prices here. Keeping fingers crossed that something is still affordable.

lowpro and ricosg11 NICE! Hey, cut me some slack though it was late at night and I saw the Blacklots item and got excited. That one I can't find anywhere, but it is in her Curriculum Vitae when I search the title. P.S. Thanks though for the information, I wouldn't drop a dime without first doing heavy Google research which I obviously didn't do last night

I picked up one of those print/cards sets (like in the blacklots auction) at the NY artbook fair a few years ago from john Mcwinnie. Paid $150 or $200. Its pretty cool. And rare.
