He is in my opinion one of the most talented artists out there at the moment. I'm also surprised that I didn't start this thread a long time ago. That new piece is almost as good as the painting your drawing is of. I think I already told you this but nice snag on that one because it is one of his better pieces.

Actually, I'm kind of surprised I didn't start this thread, too! James sent me a scan of that painting a few days ago, and I really like it. I like the brighter, happier color palette he used on that one, which is in stark contrast with most of his recent gallery work. I look forward to seeing the rest of the show...though I'm a bit worried about what the pricing will be like. I'm at the top of the list for that show...and hopefully I can take advantage of it.
Mute: Just FYI, there is no painting for Caroline's piece...the final published artwork was completed in Photoshop.
That's a beautiful print, one of my favorite pieces of his work. I'm a bit surprised with the edition size, though...seems a bit large to me.
I wouldn't let that stop you, most of his prints are open editions. Here's another pic
I actually used to own the OA to that piece. It was originally done as a potential box set album cover for Panic! at the Disco...but they decided to go with a text-only design instead (dumb!). Anyway, here's a site I created to collect his illustration and comics work if you feel like checking out more of his stuff:
I actually think james is gifted and agree that horsey was a wonderful piece, I was little miffed that somebody stole this from me at the auction but you win one lose many at those....I like jungle and mer I personally feel fine arts wise the abstracts may rise higher than his other work over time.....These were the ones that I was waiting for may have to look at Jungle for my collection....
