Hey everyone! Just wanted to give a head's up and let forum members know that I'll be curating a show for late October in San Francisco. The show is called 'Bad Dads' and is a tribute to the films of Wes Anderson (every Wes Anderson film has characters with family issues, notably father issues).
The line up so far is looking pretty epic (close to 75 artists) with some recognizable names such as Ana Bagayan, Caia Koopman, Munk One, Dave MacDowell, Kevin Tong, Burlesque Design etc. etc.
The opening is going to be Saturday, October 30th (Halloween party!), if there are any Bay Area board members, I would love to see you there and finally meet in person!
wow. this is a genius concept show. wes anderson is a god of sorts for me. really looking forward to this. love the dissected archer ave piece already. all his films have impacted me greatly, but tenenbaums has a very special place in my heart.
whew, what an opening! Line around the block to get in for half the night, a lot of folks showing up in full costumes, really, really good time! Here's some pics of the show for anyone who couldn't make it, opening night pics coming soon!
If there's anyone interested in a buyer's preview, please don't hesitate to let me know!
