Here's the lovely piece Travis did for the "A Cry for Help" show at Thinkspace, "Lester the Mystery Amphibian." Lester the mystery amphibian came out of the swamp in 1897 in Athens, Georgia. After almost 60 years of existing as a monster legend, terrorizing the local waterways, he decided to go to college at LaGrange as a literature major. He graduated with honors in 1959 and went on to pen his fascinating autobiography entitled "Mythical Me."

Did Travis ever get around to painting some larger portraits with whole families or did I just imagine that he was going to do a series of larger works?
