Get this: 'When Daniel Wildenstein died in 2001, his estate was officially declared to be worth $60 million, although it is generally believed to be worth $4-5.5 billion, according to a report in the French newspaper Libération." If true, he would probably be one of the richest men in the world today.

yeah, several masters painting can really cost mega millions, and the fact that you can hide them from the books means you can have massive hidden wealth. Perhaps only Guy Wildenstein knows the exact number and amount (plus location) of their Caravaggios et al.
