After having met so many artists, I REFUSE to support ones that are obnoxious. Sometimes I give them the benefit of the doubt and can accept that they may not click with me, but when they insult my friends as well... Then it's a problem. I have also rid myself of stuff from a certain artist since they decided to that it was only in their best interest to be nice to me only when I could help them out. F*CK THAT.

Interesting article Not sure if a public personality would affect me too much. However, one on one or seeing an interaction at a gallery would affect me. I agree that having an attitude and being rude are big turn offs. Not sure if I would sell the works I own, but I would stay away in the future.I guess I am fortunate to have had only good experiences, but then again I have only had a couple experiences.

I will never understand why an artist would become a jackass when they become popular but I have seen MANY do that.I looked up to alot of these people and when I have met them at different shows and asked a question they act like they invented life and had no time for me.It is JUST art your not curing cancer.I am stoked when people take the time to ask about my art..
