had a text about these earlier, but thanks for that link andre. some real gems. nice size, great price. i bought 2 miami horizontals recently which i still haven't got around to framing. i'm going to exercise restraint and not buy one of these but i know i'll soon wish i did!
Don't want to jerk any chains here, but, honestly, the horizontal ones were "ok" mostly, a handful were "kind of great", but these... what's there to like?
It's an honest question. I have the Studio Cromie print that seemingly started this "dot streak" on my wall and think this "bare" version is way better than all the variations since...
I'd suggest that momo is not the artist for you if you find nothing to like in the recent series of vertical paintings and little in the horizontal series (I presume you refer to those released via PM).
Whilst some are arguably less effective, aesthetically, than others one could make a decent argument to support the statemtnet that the final painting is not even the 'art'.
I have one of the vertical paintings and it's pretty wonderful in both composition and in execution so am more than happy with it. I've seen quite a lot of his work in various media over the years so do have points of reference to other styles and media he has worked within and the vertical painting has become a real favourite of mine.
