Just saw this and thought it was pretty cool. www.cnn.com/2011/WORLD/asiapcf/04/03/japan.tsunami.captain/index.htmlThen the first wave came. Sugawara says he is used to seeing waves up to 5 meters high but this was four-times that size. "My feeling at this moment is indescribable," he says with glistening eyes. "I talked to my boat and said you've been with me 42 years. If we live or die, then we'll be together, then I pushed on full throttle."

The two K9 related stories that have surfaced in the past couple days - the one dog clinging to life over two weeks after the disaster floating in open water on the roof of a home and the two dogs together, one injured and the other unwilling to leave it's side - have been heartwarming too. Pretty insignificant in the grand scheme of things. But still were able to personally bring a smile to my face after relentlessly sobering news out of Japan and the Middle East as of late.

Yeah, the loyal dog video really shows how they take care of each other in times of disaster....

Here's some footage of the stranded dog and the reunion with the owners. Pretty amazing.
