EPI, everyone is perfectly fine, sadly today my wife was rearrange somethings and moving things while on her way up the stairs to the third floor at the turn of the landing ( hard to explain but the stairs leading to both floor 3 and the stairs to the roof are about 3/4 of a flight with a small turn for the last 3 stairs, the first floor to second floor is straight up) the fed ex man rang the bell and the new doggy took tearing down the stairs hitting my wife on its way past causing her to drop something to grab, she did try to save the item by pushing her body against it, which only caused it to hit the metal rail and become pinned against it for a moment before it went down not one but both flights ( third down to second, then second down to first ) of stairs, sadly wood does not hold up to first a metal rail then 30 stairs that are made of wood and a landing made of travertine. All in all we are both healthy however my wife still has not returned my calls as she feels I now hate her or resent her. Either way we both will go on with our lives and move forward as one person that we have become in 14 years of marriage , I mean a superficial item regardless of fault or what it is would never tear us apart, I am more concerned she feels this way, hopefully the flowers that arrive at her work tomorrow and the various messages I have left will sure her there is no need for concern it was an accident. Again maybe she is slammed at work tonight with surgeries and other issues and has been to busy. WOW I AM REALLY THINKING THIS TO DEEP. ( also sorry for some reason this board has become my personal shrink, I think I need oldfart for his spiritual guidance, I will try to stop my ramblings and using the board as my personal outlet, I would like to point out that I do at least post these in the right place meaning the kitchen sink and keep it to the single post )

C, Congrats on taking the plunge. Hope it goes well. Glad you're making the hard choice. (I'm going to have to do that soon too.) You can always accumulate more art in the future.

Yes, it has also made me really rethink my collecting habits, when I had to decide what to sell or try to sell and keep so why it is a huge and extreme headache dealing with the attorney and all other nonsense HOPEFULLY at the end of it all we will be successful and I will have a much more clean and condense collection which will help me in future collecting.
Juggernut selling the first piece is the only one that hurts I promise

I've been logged off the forum for a while due to a busy schedule Highbrow, but I did see these posts, and wanted to convey my very best wishes as well.

Three children (two in college), and all I can say is that children trump art every time. In fact, they are a wonderful kind of art. You've made a great choice.

Well my good friends on the art board, it appears we have found a match. After meeting with 11 wonderful people who opened themselves up to me and my wife ( and one not so wonderful one ) we have found someone we feel comfortable with and they feel comfortable with us and it appears we are going to be moving forward. So if all goes as planned ( have various small details to work out as far as visitation rights , etc ) in 7 months me and my wife will be adding a piece of the puzzle to the family.. Sadly I will know more middle of next week, but our attorney told us to prepare as if we are moving forward, which means I will probably have to part with more of my collection, but again I have never been happier to sell art in my life. Thanks for all the kind words, public and private messages of support , and most important it appears I can start to move my toys and furniture back in to my house.... Thanks again great people ( even if I end up with no art at all when this is all said and done, you people arent getting rid of me )

thanks for all the kind words everyone, this website has become like a second family to me and I really do mean that, heck at times I even miss Rsingelton with his odd posts. hellosir sadly it appears I may be saying goodbye to Frizzells which if I have to they will be missed but I am sure the child will be enjoyed more. ( now that it is getting closer me and my wife are both starting to freak out a little as we realize our lives could very well be possibly changing forever, a year ago we were in process of selling everything and moving abroad for a couple years and now we are selling a lot of things and possibly hiring a company to baby proof our house,LOL wow times change )

Great news-- congratulations! I wish you didn't have to sell all your art, though. Your new child may end up embracing the collection as his or her own someday...
