i saw one of conor harrington's pieces for this show a few weeks back. pretty cool piece. you'll probably be glad to know there are no cows in it.

Just heard Vhils is down there right now going to town on the front of gallery! Built him a wall out front and all and he's carving away!!! Anyone got a lift and a big truck? haha

The Ian Francis is top notch as is the 'Bardot' Paul Insect that will be in the show...

That Vhils piece is really nice. He's certainly carved out his own style.
Heard there's a few nice Micallef and Ian Francis canvases in this show as well. Gonna drop by tomorrow for sure.

Picked up the ltd to 30 Vhils print - such a unique piece. For only $500 it's a true steal and all are being hand-signed by him this weekend they said. Each is laser cut / burned into wood - very reminiscent of his street work with 3D layering over that the base image of laser cut text... you can see it here: dailydujour.com/2011/07/28/seen-european-bailout-post-no-bills/ |
