My favorite image is number 3 in post 18 by ally. I think it is truly an amazing work and makes me ponder my days of when I was a child living no where near a bridge or ever seeing fog. ( Personal Note : more images of the bridge can be found here. www.google.com/images?hl=en&expIds=17259,25567,26425,26645,27006,27015&sugexp=ldymls&xhr=t&q=golden+gate+bridge+fog&cp=22&um=1&ie=UTF-8&source=og&sa=N&tab=wi&biw=1262&bih=603 ) Further input here are various videos from youtube of the bridge and fog. be sure to read all comments and ad your own. ____________________________________________________ signed Cory J Sontag Age 30something October 10, 2010 10:36pm

Hallstatt, Upper Austria is a village in the Salzkammergut, a region in Austria. It is located near the Hallstätter See (a lake). he Hallstatt region is comprised of a multifaceted natural landscape which includes both historic and cultural dimensions. With its unique network of caves and variety of flora and fauna, the region is considered a complex phenomenon. It is not only a cultural heritage site but also has the distinction of being a natural heritage location as well. With this international honor the Hallstatt region finds itself in an exclusive circle among UNESCO World Heritage sites. Ayers Rock in Australia and the Philippine Islands are the only other UNESCO sites in addition to the Hallstatt Region in which the aspects of both nature and culture so are uniquely combined. In general the qualities, which justify the distinction of the Hallstatt region as a UNESCO World Heritage site, can be categorized into four essential components: www.hallstatt.net/publisher/articleview/action/view/frmArticleID/14/

I spent a summer in Strobl in the Salzkammergut-- intensive language studies in advance of German immersion taking classes during a year abroad at the University of Vienna. I swear I walked to this village-- is that possible? Is it nearby? It's gorgeous. Weezy

Did you use a lens baby on that first picture Weekender or was it done in post? Great pics Nope. Its a tilt shift lens effect from Canon Powershot s95. But no post processing don, the effect will make things miniature like, the effect of tilt shift lens. ust like below, a shot from my Safari about last month. or a miniature Capetown like this one

I didn't realise canon had released a camera with a miniature mode the images look very good and a lot cheaper than buying a lens.

lol they are obsessed with Kites, I mean the ones they fly are so high they have caused helicopters to crash in the past. They are also so big, its not unusual to see 5-10 guys carrying a single kite between them
