----- *Artist Information* Website - www.wwwcomcom.comWeb Store - www.naotohattori.comUpcoming Shows - Joshua Liner Gallery & MModern (2009); Copro Nason (2010) ----- Thought I would start a thread on him since we have discussed him in the past on other threads. I think he is one of the must "under the radar" artists out there. His imagination is off the charts and the detail stunning. Maybe because he doesn't live in the states.... Some favorites from his ongoing show at Copro Nason ending 3/29 All the show's pics here www.copronason.com/copronason_2008.html

The closest I've been to purchasing a "larger" naoto is this one... If it's available any longer I might cave... I thought this one was interesting as well... Never seen one quite like this before.

Ooh, I love the first one. I would like it even more if the background weren't flat gray, but it's very interesting.

This one has always been my favorite piece by him. Where is Yolao? Has one of my favorite art collections.

I never really visualized how small the paintings were until this shot. The detail must be phenomenal. Either that or your thumb is huge.

This one was strong too, and a bit different. I personally don't expect too much from these online paintings. They're just fun generally speaking, and impressive to see him work in such a small format. I'm sure they're just a entertaining outlet for him, and there's definitely one or two fairly strong ones that are produced. In most cases, they're less than 3"x3" so it's rare there will be anything too groundbreaking.

Wow that girl is both surreal and way detailed. I can imagine alot of his works in the remake of "never ending story"...
Naotto's creativity and attention to detail has really got me thinking about picking up his work.
