this is on it's way to my home: "1,2,3,4,5..." (counting to 10) by Ali Cavanaugh 16x20 watercolor on fresco This is her blog where you can view more of her paintings: www.alicavanaugh.com/blog/As you can see she's very into stripes and socks. I really like the bright lighting in her paintings as well as her use of negative space. Here's another example of her work: Prices are reasonable and you can buy from her directly. really liking her work...thanks for posting. Do you have any idea if the bottom piece still available?

Marc. I to am a fan of the Craola but the Sorren will always have a special place in my heart, it is the first piece of art my wife refused to let me sell.

I am thrilled to report that I managed to pick up these two Kelly Vivancos from Thinkspace's "Uncommon Gardens" show, which opens tomorrow night, 5/9/08. Hope to see some of you there! "Predawn" "Salamander"

Congrats on the Vivanco pieces, they are beautiful! Here is my latest acquisition: Liz McGrath: Mouse with Axe It is a very tiny watercolour (the image is about 3") from her show this Saturday at Billy Shire. I was lucky to get one of my first choices, since it matches with a bigger piece of hers that I have - which I will finally post when everything is in its place. I have just been moving, and all the artwork is still in boxes

Thats great Katrin! That was one of my 1st picks as well, I wound up with "Ricky the Shark Boy" which will go well with my Vampirates. What is the other bigger piece you have?

Thanks! "Ricky the shark boy" is a great one, too! It was also high up on my list, and I think I put up 35 picks altogether as it was really hard to decide after my first choices. And since Annie said the list could be as long as we'd like... It is great that her smaller pieces are still affordable given the fact that she is one of the big names. I have one of her boxed creatures which I bought at Strychnin in Berlin. Pictures will follow soon

That's a great one. I almost thought it was a KMNDZ but with Hussar's amazing detail. I'm guessing it was still pricey?

I'm trying to justify it when I really shouldn't be spending so much... All I have so far is "it goes well with the other one".

I think I need a 3rd one for them to look right.... this one is about 11.5x16 and the other one is about 12x12, so clearly I need another one for balance...

;D Only problem is you end up with an odd number so then you would have to even it out with another one

Beat into my head in Architecture school that things must be done in 3's to create balance. It's practically a law.

Nice, I saw that one too. Great pickup from him without the 6 figure price tag. thanks benvan! yeh, i'm really excited about this one. Also, i've got two original drawings coming in via fedex today! I'm looking for some very goth/ornate frames to put them in.
