thanks for posting these jared. I came across that piece by lucas blalock a while back... love the idea that you have to complete the piece yourself and cram the print into a bottle.

you're welcome sven.
i received my blalock edition, but have not "activated" it yet. need to find the right bottle and then figure out how i want to insert the print. but it's kinda cool that i'm already engaged in the process.

I'd be interested to see and hear about the results Jared. I've contemplated on buying that for a while, but wondered if I'd be able to effectively destroy an artwork to create an artwork. It's an interesting concept that engages the emotions of our natural 'collecting' instincts to preserve and have everything 'mint'...
Ill post a couple of other low cost photography editions I've picked up over recent months when I'm back to my computer...

I really like the idea of that one as well. I had seen it and wrote it off as kinda ridiculous but then realized it is no different than a Blu watercolor edition or if he were to insert the image into the bottle himself, no two editions would be a like. Finally after seeing this nudging thread I broke down and purchased two of them. One for a bottle and one for explanation/framing, despite it going against protocol.

Thank you for this Jared. Did not end up buying anything, but appreciate the quality information. Wish there was something like this for other art/artists before prices escalate beyond reason.

I have a copy. It's great. Hassla puts out great little art books by some of the best young artists: n dash, sam falls, ryan foerster, marcelo gomes, lucas blalock. all well worth checking out.
