Was asked recently how i acquired the #1 Thunder, so here's the story.... I was approached by a member here, Jrogg. He said he had access to the framed #1, through the David B. Smith Gallery in Denver. Of course i was interested!!!...I'd been after Thunder for a long while. So Jrogg's plan was this....he went to the gallery, bought the framed #1, sold it to me unframed + 3 prints (other artists) that i couldn't care less about. So, at the end of the day, I scored the #1!!! Not sure if this type of behavior is frowned upon or not but i didnt think much about Jrogg's side of the plan... I don't believe the gallery knew he was going to resell it...I was only thinking i want a Thunder on my wall!! Here's the frame up of this baby. This was from a long time ago. I was asked how I got the print. That's all. I'm honest and have nothing to hide.

The monetary aspect shouldn't have been included and for that, I apologize and also deleted that. Other than that, I felt / still feel compelled that the details of what occurred were perfectly fit for the public. Is there beef? If you consider the constant slandering by Jrogg that has been made against me at an absurd and personal level, then yes, there's beef. I don't have respect for people that go out of there way for months at a time and attack someone they've never met with no cause. Jrogg happens to be one of those people. And after some thought, in order for him to understand that it's ENOUGH, I decided to share details that expose him for what he is. I was asked here and on the JK board about how I came into the piece. Until now, I had no reason to divulge the details but like I said, I've had enough. Bullying doesn't occur on this site much at all , but I assure you, when you're followed around from forum to forum and "trolled" on every aspect including your business, there comes a point where someone needs to learn a lesson. I have never had a " shady" transaction or negative dealing with anyone on any of these boards. And in business, we choose who we want to deal with. Someone like that is NOT someone I will ever deal with for obvious reasons. Those of you who own galleries or you own business deal with different sorts of customers on a daily basis. Most are lovely and some burn you. I for one don't believe that just sitting back without saying something is acceptable. I take my business and dealings personally because at the end of the day, it's all where my passion lies. Sorry if anyone found this post to be "tacky" but I assure you, it's mild in comparison to what's been thrown at me. By nature, I am an aggressive/assertive and outspoken person. I always have been and always will be. I'm also forthcoming and honest in ALL aspects of my life. One thing i will never be is someone who turns a blind eye...in any situation. You're rude to a a flight attendant? I'm absolutely going to say something in their defense because THEY can't. You yell at somebody at their place of work and make it personal as if they intended to hurt your feelings? I will absolutely say something about it. And in this case, because the nastiness had become so absurd and out of control, I absolutely had to say something. I've had the details of this transaction for months and held onto it (for no reason other than they're saved emails) . In light and his relentless and constant bullying, I felt the need to make an effort to let this person (and anyone else that conducts themselves in that manner) know that the sort of behavior will NOT be tolerated any longer: not here or anywhere. We've all seen it and wanted to say something some time or another around these boards. I feel that i've earned the right to say something considering the nastiness that i've endured by this member. Bad form or was it a well deserved lesson? Cheers!! |

Life, you're a mod on PP and have seen it all more than most here, and know very well the extent of this case. this post was for one reason and one alone: don't do that. i tried adamantly via PM's but that obviously did not get the point across that i'd had enough. it makes me look like someone that doesn't take abuse and does not stand for that type of behavior. I know this world is about relationships and i'm not very concerned that this has ruined any. people will be unwilling to deal with me because i speak my mind and have no problem exposing someone that does wrong?...by me and others elsewhere? So, by your statement, its ok to bully PUBLICLY but when someone who has tried to make it stop finally DOES something about it, its wrong? This whole thing has nothing to do with any gallery, price or whatever. All the messages sent privately did NOTHING so in order to let jrogg know that i wasnt going to stand for it, i exposed him. Thats all. ..and the threatening messages that came from him afterward proves my point. THAT is bad form. |

I too have had beef with bmerel, and have tried to assuage this particular situation privately via pm as I believe there is a lot of wrongdoing in one single post. However, I do not think he understands why this is poor form at all... This is some type of vigilante justice that he believes he has done to jrog and he is gloating about it. In saying "this post was for one reason and one alone" insinuates the knowledge to be able to discern right from wrong and that he deliberately tried to tarnish him. If people want to know how you got the #1 print, pm them privately... No need to bring in both members of a transaction that you weren't even part of and expose both parties without permission...it's tacky
