This week I needed to ship a high dollar value print out of state inside the US, but did not want to spend a ridiculous amount of money by using an art shipping company. My collection dwindled to basically nothing so I do not have coverage through an art specific insurer. And my insurance policy does not allow All Risk coverage (not certain if any do). As you know the normal carriers will not insure art for more than 500 USD. I located a reputable company who handles shipment insurance and the underwriter is Lloyds of London. I thought this would be useful to someone though, as peace of mind is better than losing the art and the money. Contact information is below. Ramon International Insurance Brokers, Inc. Or you might have something/someone better. I would be interested to know additional thoughts on the subject.
