If I'm not mistaken this is his first series. Actually very nice paintings IMO. This is just the set up game for a slide. As predictable as all this auction nonsense with the young hyped artist is, it's still fun to see these absurd final numbers. Would be nice to know whose actually buying these.

No offense to Afroken, (and others) who seems to have made some prudent purchases it now seems over the past few years. Congratulations.
But Eisner I completely failed to get, people like Israel Lund I could at least understand how and why people would exploit the work. But this guy ... his alien and slide paintings look like, well a solid bfa thesis exhibition. And I've read the book Conceptual Art by Tony Godfrey multiple times, love conceptual art. But the concept explained to Eisner's work, I feel is empty, it didn't generate excitement, wonder nor displeasure in me. Nothing.
And then, aha! Eisner is "son of Tom Ford muse Lisa Eisner" now I get it, it's just business as usual.
I don't discount the work of all the new hotshots but it largely comes across as vapid, partly on purpose I'm sure. But some of it works. Maybe Ap(athy) - Ex(pressionsists) would be a good title for this generation artists. A resurrection of moods and themes from the 90s. Grunge, decay, apathy with a splash of techno & rave occasionally thrown in. I understand why, but feels weird to me as the world has changed so much since then, ...or has it?

He's quite interesting. Does anyone know at what he is working on now?
