I think the community may be a little too small to charge clients a vig and then use public message boards instead of your mailing list for consignment sales.

Scott, this community is too small for shifty deceitful shysters always trying to rip people off...ie you FFS. You are a complete moron

Hi Scott- Thank you for your concern about how I run my business. I posted this with the express desire of the seller to do so in order reach as many potentially interested parties as possible. I'm sure you'll find an interested party to sell all those paintings you offered me, without having to resort to being rude on an online forum. Best wishes, Kirsten Anderson

This section is typically used for collector to collector sales, although I suppose if Kirsten didn't post it, the collector could have done it themselves so it's kind of a gray area. What we do want to avoid is galleries or professional dealers trying to offload their inventory in this section. That can go in the other Galleries/Publishers/Artists section.

I understand Sleepboy's concern and I'm happy to abide by Artchival's rules. I wasn't sure where to post this as it is on behalf of a collector and I thought these were works Artchival's members would appreciate knowing about. No sweat for me to pull it if you like.

Thank you - accepted. All good. I will pull this thread shortly. Yeah, no need to pull it. It probably fits more in this section so I moved it. I'm sure these are desirable paintings. I think the original thinking was not to clutter an area for collector to collector sales with commercial spam. I don't think it was a bad idea. It seems to be working.

you're right. I apologize. You don't see that happen on the Internet much. +1 ricosg on manning up and not making this into a flame fest.
