Love that piece and it's a great price. Sorren has always been so cool about keeping his prints affordable & editions small.

Looks like he'll have a bunch of sculptures in addition to paintings for that Fullerton show.

Oh my goodness! Look at the blocks in the wall of the newest Sorren piece just posted at his website. I'm blown away by the surreal reality of them. www.joesorren.com/

seriously, if i had 90k that would be on my wall. i enjoy pretty much all of his paintings and he seems to be continually producing stunning work, but this piece for me is one of his finest to date.
can't wait until his museum shows in ca and az at the end of this year / beginning of next. pretty sure i'm gonna fly out for at least the ca show.

this piece is also pretty huge. is this a big jump in price for him or have his paintings been selling in this range?
the museum shows should be great.

i don't think it's a jump in price. his last solo show sold out ahead of the opening at billy shire in october 2007. an equivalent sized painting 'bump' sold for $80k billyshirefinearts.com/07Sorren/bump.html

Also keep in mind that this is a museum not a gallery show so the premium is there.

seriously, if i had 90k that would be on my wall. You and me both. There is something special about this piece. I'm envious that you'll at least be able to enjoy it in the flesh.

i think it's one of his finest painting to date, and literally cannot wait to see it. i heard that the chg show was put back til the 15th may, and i was like aww, man! mainly because of this painting. heck, it's worth the 9 hours in the car just to see this.

Love that piece. The main figure is familiar, maybe from a study a few years back?
Thanks for posting.
