Hello Spenie, my name is Bram. Pleased to meet you. Hi Bram, likewise. Hope this friendship can blossom into something rather special. ;D Nice avatar by the way. Me too, I am free the 1st two weeks in July, thinking of a couple of weeks in York if you fancy it, I hear the beach is less crowded than most other resorts on the Yorkshire Riviera. I hear you collect Josh Keyes. I was a big admirer of his, back in the day, until he got lazy and couldn't be bothered painting backgrounds. Success, it goes to some peoples heads. Nowadays I am happy with collecting Contemporary Knitting Patterns.

Thanks for your welcome folks! So there are a few Yorkshire people on here? That's cool. I wondered why nothing was happening on Limited Addiction, I guess you were all here enjoying yourselves! Then the last time I went to look for it, it had vanished and somehow I eventually found this site.
Svenman - Your memory serves you well. I do have Circus de Soil by Ausgang which is a fantastic piece and he told me he considers it to be one of his best. Reproductions of it don't really do it justice. I also now have another of his paintings - The Martyrdom of Saint Kitty which I bought on the secondary market, it had been damaged (now repaired) and it was a great moment for me as it was the actually the first piece of art I ever thought about buying and which in turn led me to discover this whole art movement! (It had been sold at the time hence I got the other piece from his next collection.)
Droow2 - Yes I am looking forward to the Tin piece, it looks very sweet. I was interested to read the thread about him and the associated controversy (?) and I am not a fan of all his pieces but some do stand out and I still think they are capable of taking you to another imaginary world.
Nice to be here everyone!

Another UK person. We're slowly taking over.... Good to find some UK people who know what I'm talking about! Why is awareness of this art so thin on the ground over here?

Great news and thanks for that. Guess what I'm feeling is that I'd love this art to be more well known to the UK public in general. This might be the show to change everything over here! Now to sort out a trip to Bristol!

Thanks guys.
I'm quite sure pretty much everyone here loves his work. As incredible as his early work is, he seems to step it up for every new body of work.

Hey Pie...welcome. I'm glad you bought Assembly...I was starting to get upset that that beautiful painting was not going to find a home. So I was happy to see that it sold when I was up in NY on the last day of the show. Plus you probably ended up saving me a few bucks

Thanks Pete. Glad you thought as much about Assembly as I did. For the longest time we went back and forth on it because of price... eventually my wife convinced me to get it in exchange for... get this... the next 9 years of Birthday and Christmas gifts! That finally broke me down and made me realize I should go for it! So... looks like my next Berens will be in 2018. LOL! PS: If you ever want to come down and see Assembly, we're just 3 hours south of you in the DC area.
