Name: Tom Green
What do you do: Editor of Dangerous Ink, a UK based lowbrow art and illustration magazine.
Why are you here:To maybe find new artists to feature, interview, and/or promote as much as we can.
What message boards do you frequent: None. Don't have much time what with the magazine.
Fave artists: Ray Caesar, Bob Dob, Chris Ryniak, Ron English, Dave MacDowell, Leslie Ditto, Travis Louie, Chet Zar.
Last piece you purchased: Ha! The magazine is non-profit, so I can't afford any pieces, though I love looking at the finished artist spreads in the mag.
How did you find this message board: Leslie Ditto told me I should pop by and say "hi". So, ummm...hi.

Hi,
Thanks to you two for buying the mag. I really do appreciate it. Cheers for the kind words too, Svenman. It wasn't easy starting up D.I in the UK, and it'sno walk in the park to keep it going. Most people look at me suspiciously when I tell them that we're non-profit. Heaven forbid a mag exists that simply want to promote the artists!
We don't offer subscriptions at the moment simply because when we factor in p&p for overseas, we end up losing money on the sale, but thankfully we're in quite a lot of stores that it'd be difficult to not have access to us.
I figured this would be a good place to pop up so artists and collectors like yourselves can see the face behind the mag, and give me any feedback that you might have. I'm completely open to any opinions folk have of the mag. It's the only way I can refine it and keep it going.
All the best!
Tom

Hello all!!! let me introduce myself:
Name: Sebastien
What do you do: Artist, but have been unable to practice the past couple years due to health problems (which should eventually be resolved, it's just taking lots of time), so I'm living vicariously through all the wonderful art I discover here, hehe!
Why am I here: To meet other collectors, artists, art enthusiasts, and discover new art
Other Message Boards You Frequent: Josh Keyes artist forum
Favorite Artists: I have so many, favorite at the moment are Josh Keyes, Andy Kehoe, I'm also really liking Esao Andrews and Jeremy Fish. Older artists I love: Theodore Rothke!!!, Philip Curtis, Ivan Albright, Wayne Thiebaud, Robert Bechtle, Flemish painters like Jan van Eyck (love the detail in his work and lots of paintings from that time have a funky perspective which I like), Hieronymous Bosch, love a lot of older still life work from the Dutch and also some of their old school landscape artists. I also love African animal masks, older South American art and sculpture like the jalisco figures. I could go on and on...
Last Artwork Purchased: Some Esao Andrews prints
How Did You Find This Message Board: I think I was doing a google search on Josh Keyes or Mark Ryden or some such artist, can't quite remember!
Look forward to spending more time on this board and getting to meet everyone!
