When are you finished for the year?

Just curious as the year starts to hit the second quarter I was having a conversation with the boards only Sleepboy and we both were talking about the plans for the year.

I am curious do you figure out what you want for the year and go for it, or do you just grab something when it comes along. I am zoning in on a new Chueh and a possible Amy Sol. However I figured that would be it for the year.

Well I have since setting my goal of the two pieces for the year bought a JLED, now Fosik wood print, and a few other small pieces. I obviously can not keep to my budget and ideas how are you guys going.

I know I am not the only one who can not stick to the budget, and I know I am not doing as bad as some of you with blowing my budget so lets hear it.

After what I spent in recent months, I think I was officially done buying for 2008 at the end of February.

Not necessarily a bad thing, though, as at the moment I am quite content with my collection. Of course, this could change at any moment...but it's actually refreshing to not be looking to spend money for once.

I don't buy either if I get too busy with life to put in the online time of lists, previews, scouting ebay etc, or if nothing I REALLY want is showing up.

Otherwise, I have my tier 1 stuff that I'm always chasing after and am willing to spend a bit more, the mid tier stuff that I'll buy if something great turns up, and the bottom tier stuff which I'll only pick up as a total bargain.

I have a list of artists I'm interested in, and while the list does change, I don't really buy outside that list. That often means that I miss out and regret stuff later, but it keeps overall spending in check.

i think i'm done for a while. wall space is quite limited and i gotta focus my finances towards other things... unless something absolutely irresistible comes my way
