I am looking to buy my first Greg Simkins piece, not looking for a huge one.
Please get in touch if you have anything you are considering parting with.

Just keep in mind, Allan, that even at his most recent show, which was indeed very strong, 7"x7" pieces were only $2500 and there was one 8.5"x8.5" that was priced at $3k. This is a neat piece and all and is a little bigger, but it's substantially overpriced. I believe he's a member here, who I think was looking to raise funds for something special. So I'm sure it's one of those scenarios, which we're all guilty of, where he was trying to set your sites high in hopes of fishing out a collector willing to pay well above fair market value. In my opinion, it's maybe worth $4500, when comparing to current market prices and when considering he has progressed by leaps and bounds both technically and conceptually. That said, it's still a cool piece and I do regret not buying it from Lineage when I had the opportunity. Moreover, his next show - while not publicly listed yet - is only a few months off.

Lowpro thanks for pointing that out I felt the same way. I would price it a bit higher but not by much...There is still a piece available at 1988.

low pro is spot on. Bottom line, it's my piece. I was potentially using to move into another piece and priced it high mainly because Im still very much attached to it. After much thought of loosing and turning down 7 offers... I'm going to let the auction run out and not relist for the time being. I really like this piece. Joshual Liner hooked me up and I simply just can't flip without a major upside. Sorry if this seems a bit wishy, but I still dig Virgil.

Meat,
Not wishy washy I think everyone here is guilty of loving something and then setting it free for the right offer. I have done it myself

My apologies if that was taken the wrong way, DJ. Was just giving my two cents, and was trying to look out for another friend. As I alluded, we have definitely all been there. Certain pieces have way more sentimental value than monetary and it will take significantly more than market price to free them from out grasp. It's one badass piece too. You've got good taste.

no sweat low, i'm in agreement with you. I'm just kinda in this situation now were I have no wall space left. Running out of wall space is almost like getting out of collecting. Unless I sell something of course... which I really hate. It's a constant battle between the high of purchasing a new piece vs selling a piece on my wall I like the least. Ugh.
