i made in inquiry, and i think they said they will try to have a preview... but not very likely since Mattel is the sponsor of the show, and part of the deal is that they get first crack (at least that's how i read it). makes sense

I also liked the Limon's and I like both of Camilla's pieces and the Simkins but not a lot else. Forgot to add that the Olivas/Peters collab is good too.

The Brian Despain piece was the highlight of the show for me...

The Brian Despain piece was the highlight of the show for me... Liked the Despain as usual but I think I have decided not to own one because they got too expensive Almost bought this, colors were very very nice in person.

the reude van was definitely the best of the bunch. There were a couple other I liked too but this one was great.

I liked the Leanne Biank toy piano piece and the Doug Limon Whacko-O, but not quite enough to buy them.
I looked at the Despain for a long time. I decided that it doesn't seem to me to be quite as strong as many of his others compositionally, and perhaps a smaller one might be more reasonably priced. I prefer his paintings with greater color saturation and an organic and emotional element. This one seemed a little unmotivated to me.

After looking at it again, that Despain one was a little boring compared to his other ones, not enough contrast or something (sorry matt) A big robot with a bunch of other littler robots... I do like his stuff alot though, just not this one as much. Tokidoki LOL. That guy has no artistic talent... He lucked out on those purses.
