This artwork exemplifies the direct correlation between Seuss’s early pen and ink illustrations and the paintings from what is now known as Seuss’s “Deco Period. As Pablo Picasso’s “Blue Period” is defined by blue dominate paintings from 1901–1904, Seuss’s “Deco Period” is noted specifically for black dominate backgrounds in a number of his most developed and completed paintings from the 1930s to the 1940s. Please note, The Zorax and the Groo will only be available as part of this unique collecting opportunity and will never be available as a general release to the Seuss gallery market. This is an unprecedented opportunity to collect a rare Seuss piece valued at $500 and only available to collectors of The Stag at Eve. Interested collectors are encouraged to act quickly as we anticipate demand to far exceed the 275 prints in this special offer. The Zorax and the Groo is only available on a first come, first serve basis so long as prints are available.

Ooo....This hi res image makes it look so much better..and the complimentary print is a nice gesture and a great marketing effort from Chase, who's sales seem to be sluggish as of late. God I love this Seuss period. Would so perfectly match my Pink Tufted Beast. Sadly, it looks like that's going up on the chopping block very shortly too.
