Very much looking forward to seeing these in person. Made a mental node to not wait for the very last day of the day as I was there last weekend (supposed last day of the JR show) and only saw Faile prepping, but no JR on the walls. Bummer. Not a fan person, so I didn't go in. But come January...

Saw the show today and was pretty stoked. Great body of work and more than a few pieces that really resonated with me. Great to see that this wasn't just "some" outlet for Faile's recent stuff, but fully developed composition, with lots of references to Berlin and Germany as well as some great Faile classics. Standout piece for me, was this one which may not have been all that flashy like the block pieces, but would have been hard to resist, had it not been sold already: Found it a tad strange, that a lot of pieces that were sold were altogether gone already (2 weeks after the opening), as in my view this is an EXHIBITION first, and an art-for-sale occurrence second. Probably too much naivety on my part. Would have loved to see some of the smaller wood blocks (which had already sold) and spend some more time with the framed prints (only half of them were still up). Still, I was happy to pick up some unframed prints and am looking forward to the show print the boys sold through their own shop (not sure why there are two and why not both of them were at the show).
