I didn't get to see either of the last 2 galleries in person so it will be nice to have one roll through the bay area.

Here's the whole piece! I can see continuations of themes and imagery from his "It Wanders" shows...

I find this still life period of Greg's work really fascinating. It's like taking an old tired genre and completely reinventing it. In terms of the composition, I feel they have a similar aesthetic to some of Willem Heda's works, but with heavy surrealism mixed in.

Just love the newest leaked piece, It Escapes Me, that Arrested Motion unveiled...along with most of the other leaked images. I think it might very well be my favorite, with Lost in Thought (the flier piece) being a very close second. Hoping Lost in Thought is a 16x20 or a 20x24, as an 11x14 is too small.
Most of all, I truly hope, and would be shocked, if there was another price hike. Personally, I thought the price $500 price bump from It Wanders East to It Wanders West was completely wrong. Sure, the work will sell just fine as the man is as hot as they come. But I feel he is too quickly approaching his price ceiling, where soon collectors will be priced out of work and shows will not sell out....which is never a good thing for a still pseudo-burgeoning artist. Moreover, I see it as be a much more difficult feat for an artist such as Greg, with his significantly more bizarre stylings, to make that jump into a more contemporary/widespread collecting pool, the likes of which some like Audrey and a few others from this genre appear have be on the bring of. So while it's undoubtedly just wishful thinking, and I'm definitely not arguing that another price hike would lead to this show not selling out, but I think it might not be the most sound business decision in the long run for him to jack up prices further for the third time in less than a year. Only time will tell.

Thank you for the nibble on AM. Looks good, and I do love him continuing a similar theme from his previous two shows.

i was there as well and lister actually put out a live installation there which was pretty hilarious - a struggling gagged batman (or was that robin) being taped to a stair post in the upper level.
