Darkness Into Light, a group exhibition featuring select pieces from a handful of internationally renowned photographic artists: John Santerineross, Wayne Martin Belger, Chas Ray Krider, Robyn Von Swank, Jeffery Scott (1019), Silent-View, Christine Kessler, and Gayla Partridge (666 Photography). In addition to showcasing the works of such well-published photographers as Santerineross and Krider, Rivet is honored to present "Yama" by Wayne Martin Belger as the centerpiece of the exhibition. By taking a 500-year-old Tibetan monk skull, encrusting it with gemstones and precious metals, and modifying it to hold two self-machined pinhole cameras, Wayne has produced in "Yama" a truly must see piece of art that completely blurs the line between form and function. Unfortunately, because of the special circumstances surrounding such a high-profile piece art, "Yama" will only available for public viewing Feb 7, Feb 14, Feb 21, and Feb 28, but as a result, Rivet will be hosting both an Opening as well as a Closing public reception for the exhibition. Please visit our web site for additional details about this exhibit and private receptions. Due to reasons unknown to Rivet, Jeffery Scott (1019) will not be taking part in this exhibit. Thanks Laura

Wayne Martin Belger....niiice. Yama is a very cool piece. His "Untouchable" camera/piece is one of the most peculiar pieces of art i've ever seen.

For those in the surrounding area and nearby states, Wayne Martin Belger will be present at the closing reception this evening from 7-10pm. He has brought 6 of his camera creations as well as another that he is currently in the process of making. These will all be on display tonight. This is great opportunity to see this work in person and meet the artist. I hope that some of you will be able to stop in this evening.
Thanks Laura
